Really enjoyed the session - only missed the 5 rating due to a lack of things to photograph. Not Martina's fault - just maybe a bit early in the year for flowers, insects, etc. to be around.

I'd often seen the sun come up behind the power station throughout the year on my way to work and often promised myself that I'd grab that shot someday, this particular morning the conditions were perfect, the colours, the position of the sun and I was ahead of schedule, unfortunately my dslr was in my other workvan, I had a little detour down Long Lane in Kegworth and got my phone out, I'd finally got my shot.

We had promised ourself a visit to Felley Priory for somewhile and Tuesday was the chosen day. The weather was not too good when we left home, and I wanted to delay the visit, but fortunately the sun did manage to break through and as you can see from the photograph, it all worked out rather well! I am getting on in years now, (80) and I have recently exchanged my Sony gear for an Olympus OM1 Mk1 which I find suits me much better weight wise. The lens used was the OM system 12-200 F3.5-6.3. Originally showed up at Gouldsboro State Park at sunrise to get a backlit, misty shot of the island but when I got there, NO mist, and enough boats on the lake to walk across!Quickly decided to take a backroad to another favorite spot nearby, and slammed on the brakes as I was driving over a small bridge when I looked to the right and saw THIS scene. Finding it was sheer luck, but as always, just getting out there at first light is half the battle. Made this one standing right on the bridge.
