Editing in Adobe

Editing in Adobe

Saturday 15 June
Google Meet - 10am - 2 Hours
Leicester Photography Group
Anthony Tanton
Some might say that capturing the image is the most fun part of photography, others absolutely love post processing and enjoy that more, but whether you love it or hate it, editing is 50% of photography.

This class is for anyone editing in adobe suite or similar programs, the examples will all be in Lightroom and Photoshop. We’ll brush over the basic adjustments, and spend most of our time looking at how to edit and correct the light in separate parts of the image, how to edit and correct colour for complex lighting scenarios, how to remove objects, and we’ll leave space to discuss other issues you might be facing in post production work.

By the end of this class you should be feeling more confident in the adobe suite, have a few new tricks to play around with, and feel confident to produce artistic work that’s ready to print and hang, post to your website, social media, or set as your new computer background.

For this class you will be given access to a folder of images to edit along with the class, there will be time to look at your own images too.

Hi, I'm Sam. I am a professional photographer based in Nottingham, UK. I've been specialising in gig photography for the majority of my professional work but I have a range of experience in portrait and landscape photography. I moved to Nottingham to study Filmmaking at Nottingham Trent University, which has given me a range of opportunities to work with a range of equipment and technical processes.

I shoot with a Sony A7iii with a Samyang 24-70mm lens (+ 18mm) but I often attempt to get my hands on other lenses and cameras to practice techniques and processes I am not familiar with. I love learning as well as teaching and feel that photography is always unique to the photographer and I really enjoy listening to everyone's feelings and thoughts in all aspects of photography.

Sam Ealam is available for private bookings
